Mr & Mrs J from Ponteland spent 18 months sympathetically restoring their beautiful family home to it’s original glory.
With period fittings and simple decoration relying on the authentic cornices, skirting boards and fireplaces as features to give character and style. They had two requests, firstly to design and install two built in alcove units in the family room, either side of the fireplace to house books, a small fish tank and large TV, that needed to be angled into the body of the room. with access to electrical connections via cable management ports and using exactly matched skirtings and picture rails. Secondly, they wanted his and hers wardrobes, in alcoves in the master bedroom, bespokely fitted to suit each of them individually and painted in Farrow and Ball - Green Smoke with solid pewter handles.
‘Nook design have done a wonderful job with our alcoves and fitted bedroom wardrobes.
Throughout the design phase they listened to our wishes particularly our desire to ensure the alcoves and wardrobes complemented the Edwardian features of our house.
They brought that design to life with both craftsmanship and attention to detail during the installation phase.
The team are perfectionists.
On top of all that at the end of each day you wouldn’t know they’d been working as
they left everything incredibly tidy.

the hall and staircase with marble floor tiles,

It is stunning.
The whole process of working with them was great from the quote and design, where they beat out some noted competitors, to the build where their attention to detail and quality of finish was first rate.
Most importantly of all they were great to work with as people and they have a love for what they do which is translated into a top quality end product.
We love what they have done for us, and would work with them again.
In fact, We were so pleased we recommended them to family and friends who have also now taken them on.”
